Build Your Own Terrarium

Description: This class will include all materials, plants, and planting mediums to make your own terrarium. We will discuss different types of terrariums, the varieties of plants that thrive in them, and the purposes of the individual layers we plant that will keep your terrarium alive long into the future. Each student will go home with their very own glass globe Terrarium!
Sign-up/Registration: Must sign up and pay for this class by September 18th. Space is available for 16 students. All classes must be attended by a minimum of 6 students or the class will be cancelled or rescheduled.
Ken Shelf and his wife Amy, are co-owners of Succulence, a life and garden store in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.

Silhouette Portraits – Rock legends

Description: Learn how to create silhouette fabric portraits of your favorite rock and roll legends from local artist Suzanne Baker. You’ll leave the class with a silhouette profile mounted on an 8”x10” fabric background, ready to frame, turn into a pillow or tote bag, or whatever else your imagination can conjure up.

Suzanne Baker is an Oakland artist and craftista who creates one-of-a-kind pieces of functional and decorative art using reclaimed items.
