Alan Grizzell is an oil painter who recently made a cross-country move from Cincinnati, OH to Oakland, CA. He is a 2006 graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati with a BFA in painting and a recipient of Cincinnati’s Individual Artist Grant. His current work strives to shed light on the beauty of spaces across the U.S. that may otherwise be forgotten. A ghost town outside of Death Valley, an abandoned convenience store in the middle of nowhere, and warehouses in neglected corners of cities are some of the places Alan has explored in past works.
Alan’s work will be featured at the Rare Bird on Thursday, March 21, 2013. Click here for more information on the Rare Bird March event.
